This one opens with little girl watching a zombie film. Once her uncle puts her to bed, he decides to finish watching the movie. Later, it'll be revealed that the pair are related to one of the main characters.
The next scene cuts to a lab where a scientist is working on a cure for cancer. A friend of his sneaks in to get another fix. Apparently, along with his cancer research, the good doctor also does crack research. Anyway, the junkie gets his crack and takes it to the streets to share it with his favorite hooker.
The next series of scenes follow a few strippers around the club they work at, The Grind House, until they get off work. The main characters walk over to the cafe next door to grab a bite to eat before heading home. It's in the cafe that we meet the rest of the cast: a group of hookers and their pimp.
The original hooker starts to feel ill from the experimental crack. She quickly turns into one of the undead. At this point, the movie is at the halfway mark. The first zombie appears at the halfway point in the movie. Not a good sign.
After the rest of the film is spent hiding in the strip club from the zombies, the survivors manage to kill off all of the zombies. In case you do decide to watch this one, I won't give away the rest of the plot.
Probably the best scene in the film is when the pimp decides to fight a few of the zombies. The only form of offense he has is.... you guessed it! A pimp slap!!! But that alone won't save this movie. This one was terrible. On a scale of 1 to 10, this one gets a 2.
I created this blog to review the zombie movies I've seen. There are a ton of them!! Some that suck, some that are really good and everything in between. This list will grow slowly. You'll probably see George A. Romero's name alot in this blog. Why wouldn't you? He's the "Godfather of all Zombies." I'll probably summarize each movie and then rate it somewhere on a scale of 1 to 10. There's really no rhyme or reason to my ratings scale. I may rate something really high or really low and then rate something similar exactly opposite. There may be some small thing about a movie that I don't like that might bring a rating down. The reviews are set-up with my most recent review on top, and the oldest at the bottom. Anyway, let's get started...
